Week 2 Update (April 1 2008)

Posted 04-21-2008 at 05:26 AM by roamer723
Well, reality has set in. I came into this thinking I'd drop a quick 20 lbs in 2 weeks and then keep on trucking. Maybe if I would have followed the induction rules to the letter that may have happened. But I didn't so I'm happy with what I've done. It's just depressing to think how far there is to go. Just have to keep thinking "It's a marathon, not a sprint".

After 2 weeks on a modified Atkins Induction, I've lost 8.6 lbs. That is with drinking alcohol frequently, tho not in the last 2 days; and only working out twice. In the past when I've dieted and worked out I've only lost slightly more weight with working out 3 times a week, so this must be working.

Just had my bubble burst is all since I was really hoping for 20 lbs in 2 weeks. Oh well, will keep it up. I don't even really feel like having a cheat night. That's a nice thing about this diet. Every once in awhile I'll walk by a bag of chips my wife has left open or something and I'll think about having one, but I just don't really feel like it.

Anyway, hope everybody else is still doing great and keep at it. It's always darkest right before the sun comes up.

Rich
