One Week Update (March 25 2008)

Hey Everybody
So I started kind of a modified atkins on Mar 18. Was 354.4 at the start. Cut out all the breads, cereal, milk, oj, soda, beer, etc....have not been exercising.
Have been having egg omelets with red/green peppers, a little onion, and sourcream in them for breakfast. Sourcream helps the eggs stay moist and everything else is for flavor.
Then a meat and a salad for lunch; I like to mix romaine and spinach from the premade bags. Usually grilled something with/without low cal/low carb KC masterpiece bbq sauce. Then a grilled meat and salad agian for dinner. Snack in the afternoon has alternated between nuts or sausage links (sounds weird, but they're really good).
1 cup of coffee in the morning with creamer and no sugar. Have messed around with the artificial sweeteners, but don't feel like wasting carbs on that anymore, so I'm looking for other sweeteners for coffee.
At night have had a couple alcoholic drinks before bed. Whiskey rocks, or vodka rocks, etc.... Slows down the carb burning, but at least no carbs.
Have also started drinking Crystal Light with a meal, usually lunch. It's really good after drinking so much plain water throughout the day.
I noticed an increase in energy almost right away after going on the diet, and my appetite has been somewhat reduced. I get this feeling sometimes that my stomach isn't full, but I don't get the hunger pains.
So, that's my plan I've been using. This morning at my one week weigh in, I was down 5.4 lbs to 349. Not as much as I had hoped, but not too bad either.
