Oy. Not too bad for basically taking the week off. My dad came to visit for a week and we ate out a lot. Took a few trips off the deep end but still managed to do ok. Rode 5 days in a row to work last week; it’s been awhile since I’ve been able to do that. Drove dad to the airport this morning and now we’ll get back to normal life. Heh, normal.

I continue to get better at doing pushups. I’d be even better if I took more time to do them. I have starts and stops, but mainly I’m doing them when watching football games. Too bad my Gators aren’t scoring...

Haven't had much to say lately so have let the blog posting just go. Kids are in school, wife is back to work for the first time in 5 years, my job is meh (damn glad to have a job sir!).

I had a pretty active weekend. rode 20 miles friday. mowed the yard saturday. rode 15 miiles sunday. but now, my bike is fubar. basically, the cassette on the rear wheel is broke, where the chain will turn it when the front crank turns, but the wheel doesn't turn. think of it like your car's...

OMG, who would've thunk I would've ever got here.

Cravings are mainly nonexistent, and I haven't even touched the stuff except for two separate spaced out instances. I haven't even popped an L-Glut in a week or so.

addiction is a *****. first the cravings, then the rationalization, then the substitution, then not wanting to let yourself down.

but if you come through it, wow. I'm not done yet, this will be a battle the rest of my life, but I'm already significantly better than I was.

couple of nice strenuous hot wet bike rides through the sweltering south florida summer heat over the weekend. got tired towards the end and missed an easy turn and dorked up my front wheel. gonna try and fix it myself instead of taking to shop.

went out and got myself a couple gadgets for the bike, new multi tool to always carry with me, aso a bike speedometer/odometer. just have to have time to work on it now.

3 weeks down of being sober. wow. never thought I'd be able to do...

still doing ok. yesterday afternoon and evening got a little rough. let the family start stressing me out, but I was able to work through it.

June 28 I hashed and had lotsa beer but didn't drink that night. The more I think about it I really should say June 29 is the first day being sober, but then I argue with myself b/c it was planned, yada yada yada...

June 12 I had a margarita at a restaurant but that was it.
