first day at new job

Posted 09-29-2008 at 04:34 PM by redhairedwitch
Today was my first day at this new assignment here in Del Rio Tx. It is a detention center. So far not bad, although I really didn't do any work. It was a difficult day food wise, though. They decided to make my station the one with the box of fresh donuts on it. They even told me to help myself. All day long, working with a box of donuts infront of me. By noon the smell was driving me crazy. They let us leave for lunch if we wanted to, so I drove to Mcdogfoods for a salad. Yes, it was tempting, but I made it through. When I returned the donuts were almost gone and someone else was sitting in my spot. He finished them off a little later. I made it through the day without cheating. I did discover I will need to account for lunches this week, while I am on days. Oh yeah, my scale said down 2.8 pounds. I am not sure how that is possible, but since the scale is new, I will not look a gift loss in the donut hole.

if you just started, it could be your body letting go of the water it retained b/c of the stored glycogen. as the glycogen gets depleted, your body will let go of more of the water it retains b/c of it.
