dh and I had a nice date last night. we almost had a private showing. Tue. night isn't a big movie going night, lol.

I did end up going off plan last night and having theater popcorn. I just couldn't resist it. ack.


I did pretty good most the day. I didn't get into the candy at work when I wanted to. and even though I ate off plan a little I didn't binge. ate a little too much, I'm sure but it really wasn't a binge. (didn't have the out of control feeling that goes along with a binge and was content with just the popcorn and my coke zero).

Yesterday was a wonderful day. I spent it relaxing, reflecting, and working on me. I did binge yesterday, but I used it as a learning experience. I actually sat with this binge for 10 minutes. Worked on feeling it, feeling the emotions that come with a binge. It was HARD, but it was also a step in the right direction. I said I was going to start working hard, I meant it.
Today I meet with my regular therapist then I have treatment tonight. I am actually starting to look forward to treatment now and miss it on the days I dont have it. What am I going to do when my 6 weeks are up? I just...

Sugar Alcohols... OMG!!!!

So, I've read all of the horror stories of others about the dangers of to many sugar alcohols at once. But did I listen?! Nahhhh I was at the store the other day and it's TOM so on a whim I picked up a bag of sugar free mini reece cups. Normally I never even think about those things but that day I had to have them. Anywho, yest after lunch I decided to have 1, well that one turned into 2 into 3 and before I knew it I had ate 6!!!!! My TFF (chicknlittle) has inspired me to workout. Got in 35 mins today. Tomorrow I have day 2 of the pushup challenge, and will prolly get another 30 min of the gazelle... taking thursday off... then friday more pushups and gazelle or video... Not sure about the weekend yet.. but i have a plan people! I am officially joining a thanksgiving challenge (on another site) and the first weigh in is tomorrow. So... there's no backing down now!

Well I think my blog description tells the short version of the story. Back in 1999-2000, I low-carbed my way to a 70 pound weight loss in about 6 months. I felt better than I had in years! After I was firmly "in the groove" with my eating, shopping, menu planning, and having lost the cravings for the sugar and flour, I decided "Now it is time to quit smoking"!

A great idea of course, but I was seriously unprepared for nicotine withdrawal. Oh, I had quit before, sometimes for a year or two at a time, and, you do get through it. But, I needed to cope with
