2lb loss first week of induction. Pretty lame actually, I think I still need to make some adjustments. I'm still drinking too much tea and coffee, need to at least switch to mostly herbal teas and limit the coffee. Avoid cream where possible. That's not hard, it makes me feel kind of sick anyway.

And up the fat. The freezer is full of chicken, I need more pork and beef. Pork chops I can do on the George Forman grill. Well, lots of things I can do on there. It should be on every day!

Tonight, going to roast a couple of chicken thighs and make a crustless quiche....

Week One Begins...

Posted 01-07-2008 at 08:26 PM by LibertyJen
I call last week, which was only a four day week after the Holiday, my Start Week.

That means this week is Week One. I have lost five pounds already ... and I feel great! I have planned out my days (eating, working, excercise) and it has worked very well, so far. I am looking forward to seeing great results.

I ate a few carbs today ... I am going to each day, because if I feel deprived I will stop being careful. I made wise choices ... had a rye crouton on a bowl of French Onion Soup today at LaRosa's. Normally I would ask for it without the bread, but I really...

Day 1: Wednesday Jan 2nd low carb and working out. I did 35 min on the treadmill walking with a little running in between, after that did weights> ab machine, arms, chest, ect....for another 35 minutes.

Day 2: just low carbing and recouping from workout.

Day 3: walked/ran 2.3 miles for 35 minutes on the treadmill (increased my pace from day 1), then did abs & weight machines for 35 minutes.

Day 4: still low carb and loving it. I did 10 sets of 20 on the ab lounge.

Day 5: Worked out for almost 2 hours. I did 2.3 miles run/walk...

And so it begins...

Well. I already have a personal blog, a blog about pregnancy (which I still keep up with even though I am no longer pregnant), a blog about being a mom, and I think I have a blog from when I was a teenager.. probably filled with "My parents don't know anything"s, "I wonder if Jon Doe even knows if I exist"s... actually.. no. I was a wild child and let the world know. I'm going to have to look up the blog someday. Anywho...

I now have this one for my weight-loss journey. It's going to be hard but I have every intention of sticking to it. Oddly enough, even though...

First entry--oh my

Posted 01-07-2008 at 03:52 PM by amithereyet
Well, after thinking about it for a while I decided to start this whole blog thing and see how it goes...Maybe it will keep me accountable? I'm hoping I care enough about having to journal what I eat that I'll think a little bit more.

I am planning on eating a modified Zone diet, as I have been eating that way for years and like it. I've found that for me to lose weight now that I'm in my 30's I really must measure everything and be pretty strict. I lost about 55 lbs on the Zone 10 years ago, maintained for about 7, and then quit smoking, got pregnant and voila--gotta lose...
