Day 15 Tue 29Jan08 Weigh In Day

Weigh In today
My scale had a drop this morning, hopefully the official scale will too!

Stats:
15Jan08: 178 lbs
22Jan08: 171.4 lbs
29Jan08: 167.8 lbs
10.2 lbs lost to date.

Strength training today.
My arms are sore from the elliptical yesterday since I really used my arms. My left calf is feeling better, but sore. I'll probably ride the bike for cardio and do some light weights so that I don't pull anything.

Weighed in at 167.8 lbs. That is 2 lbs above my home scale, but still a loss from last week....

Magical mantras

When I feel as if I cannot go a step further or cannot rise from a chair by boosting myself with my arms to leverage myself higher than my knees (most seats being below my knee height), I say - to myself or aloud, if no one is nearby - a mantra that helps me to see myself succeeding in spite of the weakness of my flesh and the massive weight I can barely move.

It is remarkable what I can accomplish when I say I AM MOSTLY SPIRIT! I can move through pain with that mantra. I swear it is a magical mantra, reminding me that we are - all of us - MOSTLY SPIRIT - and as spirit beings...

The weight is OVER!!!

Posted 01-29-2008 at 08:49 AM by 123Nkechi
I have officially decided - It's over! It has been my experience that sometimes you just have to get TIRED and FED UP to change. I am just about there...

I am offically tired of weighing over 200 lbs. I am officially tired of starting and stopping and not getting any real results. THE WEIGHT IS OVER!!! I already have the right attitude, the knowledge, and everything I need to accomplish this goal. It will be done. I shall be done. It IS done! THE WEIGHT IS OVER!!!

Biting the bullet

Posted 01-29-2008 at 08:29 AM by junkfoodmonkey
Gotta give up the caffeine. No option.

Okay, so maybe not 0 Caff, I'll allow myself a black tea in the morning and the rest of the day is decaff. Especially the coffee.

Red tea can be a nice sub when I want something other than the fruity type teas.

On the good side, black decaff coffee is zero carbs, so I can have as much of that as I like. (Just don't lash loads of cream in it. )

I'll buy some decaf tonight and some more herbals and stuff, running low on those.

Maybe I'll sleep better too.

YOU: Living with Gratitude

Posted 01-29-2008 at 05:34 AM by jezzie
Mike Robbins was living out his boyhood dreams as a professional baseball player for the Kansas City Royals. Then at the age of 23, he sustained an injury that ended his career but also gave him a fresh new perspective on life.

"The one regret that I had had nothing to do with any of the games that I had lost or mistakes I'd made on the field—it was just that I didn't fully appreciate it while it was happening," he says.

Appreciate yourself. Appreciating your strengths is the foundation for appreciating life,
Mike says. It shouldn't be confused...
