Working out Today??

Posted 02-02-2008 at 09:44 AM by s1mon3
The last few days I have not seen the gym. I have been way busy and have not utilized the time I do have to get to the gym wisely. I used to have the mantra that said get it done first thing then it's out of the way. I need to get back to that before a week rolls by and I haven't been in the gym!

I will make a conscious effort today to get in some workout and sweat like crazy! I can't mess up a good thing!

It's been exactly just one week since I started and I've lost 6 lbs. That is far more than I expected! I am thinking this rate of loss will probably slow down, but as long as I can still lose at least 2 lbs per week then I still consider it a huge success.

I read somewhere that it doesn't really matter how many calories you have in a whole day, but rather how many you have at each meal. I wonder how true this is.

The weekend is here!
Today is Chloe's birthday party.
I plan on making cupcakes for the guests and Will is cooking the meatloaf rice and gravy dinner.
I'll stick with my low carb spinach dip and cheese tray and a large salad instead of the main dinner.
And of course, no cupcake

Didn't weigh in this am. I'll see what tomorrow says.
Need to figure out how to get in some cardio this morning.

Managed to do 1 hr on the treadmil. High incline wore me out.
Thought my weight would be down, but my home scale said 167

Not Quite a Whoosh

Posted 02-02-2008 at 07:39 AM by fancyface
It is not quite a whoosh, but I will take it. Down 1.5 lbs this morning. Now the stats look like 306/284.5/145. Also, have not had a chance to cut out bars and shakes, so I don't think they were the problem. Have had a bm's, so I believe the constipation is the culprit. Not such a pretty topic, but the facts.

Maybe I will try drinking more than 120 ounces of water a day... Wonder if there is an amount that would be too much... Will be checking some of the boards or googling in a bit. Wow, sometimes it is difficult to get the 120 ounces, not sure how I can drink...

YOU: Pass the Blame Game

Posted 02-02-2008 at 03:55 AM by jezzie
YOU: Pass the Blame Game

Childhood Obesity: Blame the low fat people. Blame the low carb people.
Both had their origins in the '70's so just toss a coin.

Blame the sugar industry, dairy, corn farmers, Kelloggs, McDonalds.
And of course the favorite target of all. - Blame 'the big bad government'.
(If people can make a connection they will blame Pharmaceuticals.)

Individual accountability? It's not my fault.
Parents learning to say the word no? Too much effort.
Getting kids off their behinds so they can move something...
