I have met my new passion RACQUETBALL!!! I warmed up on the track by power walking through 2 laps, then I hit the elliptical for 10 min (I had some chapter reading to do) then I decided to pick up a racket and head to the courts. I played for about 15 mins by myself then my husband joined me after he was finished on the treadmill. All is all we stayed in there for 40 min! It was a really good workout. Running after that ball is NO JOKE! I was dripping wet with sweat. I would like to play at least 3 times a week. It was a good alternative to doing the same things all the time!!!...

Posted 01-29-2008 at 03:58 PM by jezzie

Vegans are a subclass of vegetarians.

Vegetarians: Eat no meat, poultry or fish, but might eat eggs or dairy products.

They made up 2% to 3% of U.S. adults in 2003 and 2006 surveys by the Vegetarian Resource Group and
Harris Interactive.

Vegans (pronounced VEE-guns): Eat no meat, poultry, fish, eggs or dairy products. About half of vegetarians described vegan eating habits in the most recent survey.

Celebrities such as actress Natalie Portman and former presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich reportedly...

Day 15 Tue 29Jan08 Weigh In Day

Weigh In today
My scale had a drop this morning, hopefully the official scale will too!

Stats:
15Jan08: 178 lbs
22Jan08: 171.4 lbs
29Jan08: 167.8 lbs
10.2 lbs lost to date.

Strength training today.
My arms are sore from the elliptical yesterday since I really used my arms. My left calf is feeling better, but sore. I'll probably ride the bike for cardio and do some light weights so that I don't pull anything.

Weighed in at 167.8 lbs. That is 2 lbs above my home scale, but still a loss from last week....

Magical mantras

When I feel as if I cannot go a step further or cannot rise from a chair by boosting myself with my arms to leverage myself higher than my knees (most seats being below my knee height), I say - to myself or aloud, if no one is nearby - a mantra that helps me to see myself succeeding in spite of the weakness of my flesh and the massive weight I can barely move.

It is remarkable what I can accomplish when I say I AM MOSTLY SPIRIT! I can move through pain with that mantra. I swear it is a magical mantra, reminding me that we are - all of us - MOSTLY SPIRIT - and as spirit beings...
