Counting the inches

For the last few weeks I have been only semi successful with my battle with the scales. I have started recording inches. Since June 29th I have lost an inch. In all the right places! I have been eating lo carb as well as working out to my aerobics tape. So now I can forget my scales and focus on maintaining an exercise program that I can live with. I found a tape at the library for women over fifty. I liked it enough to stick with it. I found the set online that includes aerobics, strength and flexibility. I started the strength training today. Wednesday

Havent been around much because I have been taking care of family. My sister inlaw passed away Saturday night from cancer. She fought for a year but had no quality of life left in her so I guess its best because she is in a better place now. She will be missed.

My Morning Weight VS Evening Weight

I knew that weight would vary from Morning to Evening but I didnt know it could make a 4 lbs difference??? I weighed myself last night to see how much I weighed so I would have a starting weight and it was: 256.6 and then I got up this morning and weighed myself and I weighed in at: 252.4???? What gives? How in the world did I loose 4 lbs overnight? Now I dont know which weight I should use as my starting weight? Any suggestions??

Day One down

Yesterday was day one. It went pretty well, I must say. I own a small yarn shop. It's a one-woman show there, so my days can be pretty unpredictable. Yesterday I had customers there from the moment I opened at 10am until when I locked the doors at 9pm. Long day, most of it spent hanging out with knitters... Yarns shops are different than most shops in that people like to just come, hang out and knit for hours on end. It's fun for me, but draining. Usually i don't like to eat in front of customers, but I had to yesterday.

I think I'm going to post here what I eat...not...

I got weighed in at my home meeting today. I lost 2.2 !!! I am so pleased with that. I know the exercise has really been the catalyst for my losses. I seem to workout harder at the gym. Maybe it is the other people also working out hard or maybe it is the machines are better than mine at home but I am walking longer and faster on their machines. I will get to see how mine is in comparison today.

The gym I go to has people of all ages and stages. I like that. I can see many people my age there. It is a comfortable place. A lot of machines of all kinds. So far I have only...
