DARWIN'S PLANTATION by Ken Ham and Charles Ware

Posted 02-03-2008 at 06:44 AM by LibertyJen
Non Fiction

In preparation for Black American History month, I highly recommend this new release. So many do not understand the sheer RACIST tenets of the Theory of Evolution. This book will challenge your thinking: what are the differences between the races and why can we not get along?

What if God created us all equal ... in His image? Then where is the foundation for our race issues if not the evil in this world.

You did not evolve from animals. A loving Creator made you with qualities and characteristics different than mine. You have value...

PROTECT AND DEFEND by Vince Flynn

Ooooooo...I have waited (literally on the Library reserved list) since October for this read. And if I woulda known the story line going in, I might have skipped it! Totally freaked me out ... I kept saying "There are not enough pages left for there to be a good resolution to this!).

Vince Flynn, again you prove yourself to be my favorite author. The nail biting, cut from the headlines story lines are incredible. Every fan of the show "24" needs to read your books ... thanks for rescuing "24" from itself with your consultations! Please, Please, Please...

Jen's Cookin' Ahead Log

Posted 02-03-2008 at 06:36 AM by LibertyJen
I was on Linda Sue's fabulous site last night and saw that she is to this day logging in her daily menus! I wish I had the time (and organizational skills) to keep that up ... I don't even balance my checkbook .

Then I remembered this morning about my BLOG here. I am constantly frustrated that I cannot find that "great recipe I made in July" and the time wasted searching drives me nuts! I do keep a separate copy of my fave recipes on My Documents as Word docs ... but thought this BLOG may serve as a way to encourage others to also COOK AHEAD.

I...

02/02/2008 Cookin' Ahead

Posted 02-03-2008 at 06:31 AM by LibertyJen
Tomorrow is the SUPER BOWL and we are having the party .... I cooked ahead today to have the bulk of it ready, and we will have LEFTOVERS ALL WEEK!!! We love party food ...

* Banana Flax Meal Bread http://www.bobsredmill.com/recipe/detail.php?rid=809 I couldn't find my second loaf pan, (thank you kids for cleaning the kitchen for me ) So when doubling this recipe I used my white Pyrex bowl as well as a loaf pan (the bowl baked for a longer time). I had DEAD, DEAD, DEAD bananas so I doubled up on that ingredient. I also added a few handfuls of freezer blueberries....

Keeping things in perspective .....

Yesterday morning my TV picture went to the old TV dump in the sky.
It happened exactly two weeks after my car decided it was too old to start.

For just a moment I got quite annoyed at the TV. Then my trigger kicked in.
I have trained my self to ask ... ''Think about it. How important is this?''

I thought about the 29 yo woman and her seven year old son who were killed
in a car accident several miles from me. I thought about her two year old son,
in the hospital, growing up without...
