Hey Kat!

Home scale was down this morning, but since we don't believe anything it ever says, I'll ignore the 1 lb drop.....but it is encouraging.

I'd like to go out for lunch today and have some wings, so I will plan on eating half for lunch and the other half in the afternoon. That way I don't eat such a big portion all at once.

Cardio today. I'm so proud of my strength training yesterday. It had my heart rate up as much...

No weight loss for 2 days Im not cheating or doing anything wrong so I have to be patient. I am finding a 1/2 hour after I eat I am too full so I will cut the portion sizes in half now. I hoped to be 190 by the end of this month but I dont think it will happen From what I have read my body may be adjusting to the sudden weight loss or my fat cells may be retaining water. I know the scale will eventually move. We have really high winds here so no walking today. Well its shower time and then off to chemo again. Everyone HAVE A GREAT DAY

Close to the end of my Induction

Mon. Feb. 18th
B:Micro Muff. & coffee
L:Oopsie Burger (same as last nite)
D:Chix. Fingers & Salad
S:Salmon & Pickles

Tue. Feb. 19th
B:Coffee, Muffin & Quiche
L:Salmon Melt
D:Fish & Aspar.
S:Salami, Cucumbers,Dip & "Cake"

Wed. is my Last day of Induction. A few Oopses but I'm feelin good overall about my progress. Although, I may stay on Induction for awhile longer ......

Still Determined

Still keeping it low carb... and doing pretty good... of course I wish the scale would drop quicker... but that's life and I am keeping on this journey of weight loss. My weight is now down 232 which is 10 pounds lost since I started doing low carbs this round. The saying is that as you get older it is harder to lose weight.... I am hoping to prove them all wrong... I don't really give much thought to age so I refuse to be one of those statistics!

I did some rebounding today... and of course kept it all low carb.
Menu today was:
low carb shake
low carb chicken...

Day 9 - Induction (BREAKTHROUGH!)

Great weigh in this morning - 245. I have met my weekly goal already with 4 days left before my official weekly weigh in. I usually go in 5 lb increments and look to drop below those on the scale. I have refocused to 240. I will wait to see what my weight is on Sunday before setting a new goal.

I also started keeping track of calories and fat using a Palm Pilot program called DietTracker (great, cheap little program). I try to select high protein, low fat foods. While fats are not all bad, I want to utilize that which I already have first!

Energy again was high today,...
