01/10 R Y: ZUMBA (60 mins)

Posted 01-10-2008 at 06:50 PM by LibertyJen
Amy, Amy, Amy ... what would I do without you. I swear, I stand up front with you because I cannot see you without my glasses on ... and girlfriend, the CROWDS of people in there tonight! We squeezed 59 people in that studio ... had to move bikes out just to stand and sweat next to each other! Gotta love JANUARY! And the newbies, they were everywhere!

Amy teaches the HOTTEST Zumba class in Northern Kentucky ... no wonder they all come out of the woodwork.

Thanks for the kickin' butt workout ... I about over did it. The attitude of your dance party cannot be beat!...

01/10 R Y: Yoga (60 mins)

Posted 01-10-2008 at 06:46 PM by LibertyJen
Two classes back to back ... and what was I thinking?

Shannon is a great instructor ... so very careful and compassionate. We were "room challenged" tonight by screaming children in Child Watch and Music blaring from the dance studio ... I still had a good workout. Stood behind Stan because he is so idyllic to watch ... he has been studying yoga forever, and is my human pretzel! I took it easy, did not push myself ... I am determined to ease back into Yoga. So disappointing to try poses that I used to have down and they are so hard now ... and I know I will get back...

Cacao ~ organic, raw powder ~ an exciting antioxidant

Posted 01-10-2008 at 05:09 PM by Zer

gillianmckeith.info/nutrition-cacao describes some of the benefits of cacao in a way that makes me glad I am using raw organic cacao as a part of my hot slosh (WPP+espresso+cacao with VCO melting as I stir it all into a frothy mix).

I just ordered more from a sustainable-resource source - mountainroseherbs.com - that strikes me as a great place to learn more about all sorts of herbs and oils and more. All of this is just part of my education in LC living and learning about zillions of things I never knew as I wallowed in carbs and was always 'hungry' for a quality of nutrition...

Induction Day 10

Posted 01-10-2008 at 02:55 PM by junkfoodmonkey
Carbs for today, just under 18. Still room for a cuppa.

My leg is feeling better. I hope by Saturday I'll be able to exercise.

Off work tomorrow, need a haircut and other jobs to do. I intend to get out early and home for lunch, don't want to have to seek out something induction friendly in town.
