SEOUL, South Korea (CNN) -- An American orchestra performed a historic concert Tuesday in the communist state of North Korea -- one of the most secretive societies in the world.

A group of 105 musicians made the journey to Pyongyang, but for one of them this trip was not just about music. It was about family history.

Michelle Kim, 35, is a violinist with the New York Philharmonic, which performed a nearly two-hour concert in Pyongyang.
.

Tuesday's concert ended with the Korean folk song "Arirang," which is a love song about reunion....

I made it back again

Posted 02-26-2008 at 03:44 PM by amithereyet
Yes! I made it back here two (or maybe three?) days in a row! I just discovered I wasn't getting the amount of milk that I thought in my latte--which means I wasn't getting the correct amount of protein. Aagh! Anyway, so I added a little extra protein in there with one of the latte's today and will do the same from now on when possible.

B: latte and almonds
L: latte, string cheese, peanuts
S: beef jerky, cucumbers, almonds
D: egg white omelette, veggies, almonds
S: 1/2 zone bar

I have big ol' project due Thursday that I'll be working on...

YOU: Discovering the Trouble Tree

Posted 02-26-2008 at 02:40 PM by jezzie
The Trouble Tree

When opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in...

How to know what to take? I'm wondering if I can curb my nighttime spasms from this hinky hip by taking magnesium, but what dosage? I'm reading at Pure Essence Labs site about 2:3 as optimal calcium-magnesium ratio, about "ionic" being the best delivery for absorption, about cramps that sound a lot like the nighttime spasms that keep me from sleeping, wake me up and make me sit up to sleep easier:

Calcium is the mineral that promotes muscle contraction. Magnesium is the mineral that helps muscles relax after they contract. Cramps are simply muscles that have contracted, but are not

Low Carb-Revisited

Posted 02-26-2008 at 08:38 AM by brightday01
Hello,

This is my first blog (ever).. never really knew the difference between a blog or a forum until now i guess.. Well my weight story is so complicated. Since I was a teen, I've been struggling to maintain a healthy weight and coming from an overweight family history, it has been hard for me. At 17, I was weighing around 125 lbs (I'm 5'1 by the way), which i thought was a good weight for someone like me. I left to college and gained weight, around 28 lbs during my first 2 years. At 20, I read about the Atkins diet and researched on its pros and cons. It seemed like an ideal...
