Just done a liver flush

Posted 07-22-2008 at 02:33 AM by emslight
Have done a couple of liver flushes in the last week. Been wanting to flush out some stones that have been niggling me and causing me discomfort after eating certain things - mainly eggs. It's been an interesting experience! First flush produced about 70 stones of different sizes and mainly bright green in colour. I'm still going through the second one at the moment and so far this morning, have produced a fair bit of gunk and stuff that looks more calcified as well as a few stones. Will see how the day pans out but have kept it quite clear in case I start to feel rough...

Ditching Diets

Posted 07-21-2008 at 08:05 AM by fluffybear2
Although I still read about diets and people who lose using various diets, I KNOW that strict diets are not for me. Why? Because there is no "one size fits all" diet out there. There is:
NO MAGIC BULLET.

I am a fan of the Joy Fit Club on the TODAY SHOW on NBC. It does not recommend any specific diet and showcases people who have lost weight any number of ways, as long as it is healthy. Nutritionist Joy Bauer teaches people the basics of healthy nutrition and encourages exercise. No matter what anyone says, losing weight is simply a matter of calories IN and calories...

a new beginning

Posted 07-21-2008 at 06:48 AM by TryingThisAgain
Okay, I'm back again! I got sidetracked last month and then we went on vacation, but I've got to get back on track! My feet have really been hurting me lately. I know it's from my excess weight and my diet. And I haven't even been working long hours like last year! I'm fortunate to get in 6 hours at a time.

I'm just hoping and praying I have the money to buy the kinds of food I would like to get. DH is only working two days a week and my pays not great. I'm just praying he can get another job so we will have money to buy oil this year.

But today is a new day....

How am I doing?

Posted 07-20-2008 at 05:19 PM by Bobby
Well, I guess I'll start a blog to track my weight lifting mostly.

I'm a member of the Support Unlimited and the Weightlifting Challenges. I'm thankful for the support I get from them both. But I'll use this to keep track of the little details.

A little about me.

I lost 90 pounds in six months eating at induction level carbs four years ago. I didn't start really exercising until I weighed about 270. I started lifting the Max-OT program and gained some strength. I also gained an interest in amateur strongman contests. We have a great group of guys here...
