Home scale said 150.5 this a.m. I think yesterday and today will show a loss in tomorrow's biggest loser at work.

This afternoon is cardio, 30 min on bike (regular instead of recumbent) and 30 min elliptical and 15 min inclined treadmill.

I did good with food today. Time for bed, so I will shop for clothes in Chadwicks catalog in bed

I looked at last week's stats for the individuals in our Biggest Loser Contest. In order for me to tie with Mike, I'd need to lose 20% of 178. That would be 36 lbs. Not sure if that is possible since there is only...

Restaring

Posted 03-31-2008 at 12:39 PM by tammay
I'm going to try to post to this blog regularly regarding my healthy eating/weight loss journey, although I'm notoriously bad about posting to blogs . Hopefully I'll get some comments!

My story: I discovered the low carb lifestyle in 2002 and did it for a while. I felt really good, had a lot of focus and energy, was never hungry, AND was able to curb a lot of my junk food binging habits which have plague me since my teens. I also lost 30 pounds .

But I didn't have a good maintenance plan set up and I also switched to being a vegetarian (not for animal activist...

Weigh-in history

Posted 03-31-2008 at 11:17 AM by barberita
Weigh-in history so far:

3/10/08 (start date): 240
3/17/08: 232
3/24/08: 231 3/21/08: 229
3/31/08: 232

Well, I'm not too frustrated at this point. This weekend was a challenge because it was Gramma's 80th b-day party. DH and I stayed pretty close to plan, but did have a big piece of birthday cake. And last night a neighbor came over unexpectedly and we had some beers. Oh well. This weekend wasn't too bad overall, but we just ate a lot of food. Hopefully a strict week this week will yield some good losses for us.

OA and other 12-step groups

Posted 03-31-2008 at 10:14 AM by slimdays
I dabbled with OA for a bit several years ago. I felt they were too militant. Since there is always a percentage of ppl doing grey sheet in OA. I find that plan to be very militant.

Also I am a member of alanon and have been for 21 years. When I attended OA all I wanted to do was strongly suggest Alanon for all of them.

I had friends who weighed and measured all their food, even at restaurants and they seemed obsessed. I just believed there had to be a kinder way to do this.

I went back to WW's in 2000. I had some success but then...

Starting over...AGAIN

Posted 03-31-2008 at 09:30 AM by PISCESDIVA

All those faces just mean I am mad at myself. This time last year, I started eating lc and lost about 20lbs or so. I posted here (under a diff name) fairly faithfully..my gma died in june..and that was the end of that! I just couldn't get back on the wagon. Well..Now, I have met a wonderful guy..I am truly happy and the only thing I want to fix is the weight issue. In church yesterday..they talked about how we need to conquer that one THING that plagues us. That if we can face our fears and get over it..we can do anything! Well..I am starting over! This...
