YOU: Walking for Weight Loss Experiment

Newest low carb theory is that exercise does not produce weight loss because it just makes you eat more.
(Actually it isn't so new. Kimmer didn't believe in exercise for weight loss either.)

I'm not an 'expert du jour'.

My personal observations and experiences lead me to respectfully disagree with Mr. Taubes and Ms. Kimmer.

Time will tell.

In my first six week segment I will walk thirty minutes every day and eat 'as usual'.

Day 66 Thr 20Mar08

Posted 03-20-2008 at 09:11 PM by abvidrine
Traveled to La today. Did great. Wish Chloe did great on the first plane, but we got through it. She just yelled for 15 minutes on take off and landing because she didn't want to sit and wear the seat belt. But on the second flight, which was only 45 min, she did awesome.

Eating today went...

I don't know what to do because I've been trying to eat more. I had been wondering if I've been eating enough, so I ate on a schedule whether I was hungry or not, but now I haven't been losing weight...Then I think about the studies that have come out recently that talk about living longer because of less food consumption...

Here's my question: what...

Hullo world!

I just discovered this great feature on Low Carb Friends and look forward to blogging about my continuing weight loss journey. I hope to connect with others who have similar experiences for mutual advice and encouragement.

So,

Quick background:
I am 31 years old, single, living in the Bay Area in California. I have been overweight since puberty, although I would give my right leg to be as "overweight" as I was in high school.

I topped out at 309 in 2002, which, even on my 5'9" frame is a...
