I just took a new family in the neighbourhood out shopping and then to lunch. They choose Chinese. Now if I was doing all the ordering I would have know 100% what to order. Chinese in China is VERY different to what it is in the west, healthier I think, but still you do have to watch out for the sugars in sauces, etc..

I think I did ok, I tried to steer vege dishes onto the menu which worked ok as the wife was a vegetarian, but the meat dishes were picked by the kids.

Today is day 2 of being back on low carb. I've successfully lost before, but I put all of it back on! I'm the biggest size I've been in 11 years. Scary. Lost 3 pounds of water overnight. I started at 176.5 and I'm 173.5 this morning.
I know I can do this again!

It's been a long and jam packed day today but on the plus side, I did lots of walking so I can at least tick that box. Ran around like a bit of a nutter getting organised as this w.e. hubby and I are going away... WITHOUT THE KIDS! First time we'll have left little miss rubes (6.5 months). I'm feeling OK about it, in fact, I am getting quite excited about a w.e. off and the chance to let my hair down at a cool festival just outside London. Not sure if I'll be able to stick to plan - I'm just going to do my best but will also enjoy having a few drinks and partying.

Today being the first of the month I have committed myself to starting Atkins. At this stage I don't have any statistics as we need to go out tomorow to buy a new set of scales. I haven't weighed myself in years. Where to get them from is a problem. Trying to find an outlet on the internet. I am the mother of Kiwikid who has just finished a successful first two weeks. Hope I do as well. I am a bit confused when driving this program as I am not that computer literate but she skypes me from China and we go thru it together.
