I know this is a weight-loss community, but I need to share this "somewhere" and you guys are it-LOL.

I am taking Chantix and quit smoking on Memorial Day. Day 1 was not bad, yesterday, day 2, totally sucked! I was a ciggy craving fool all day. Today however, I only had a couple of grit my teeth cravings, so I'm going to say I'm getting there!

I've also been having the vivid (technicolor?) dreams/nightmares that come with the Chantix, {sigh}. I'll finish it out for the month and then only take it in the mornings and see if that helps my sleep while still...

Hanging in there...

Posted 05-28-2008 at 05:38 PM by aasikes

Okay, just a continued peptalk to Me... today is Wednesday, and I'm doing well sticking with the program... I even had my boss beg me to eat chocolate candy and I didn't budge (or cry or whine or punch his teeth out)... so my prayers for an Atkins Angel to watch over me must be working. Thank you, God, for helping me... I couldn't do it without you...

Well I am feeling good....turned down donuts today. But now if they were in from of me this past Sunday, I probably would have eaten 6 of them. I ate sugar free jello over the weekend, which was ok, but definitely not what I wanted. I dont know how many serving are in a box, but I made 2 boxes and ate about half of the dish. I know alot of it is PMS so hopefully I can get thru it without totally blowing it!
Hubby actually told me Monday that he can tell I have lost weight. so that helps.
So....I WILL NOT PUT THE FOOD IN MY MOUTH....I WILL NOT PUT THE FOOD IN MY MOUTH....I...

update

Ok so I am already terrible at this blog thing! I am so busy most of the time that I cannot find the time to do extras, like writing out my thoughts!!!
Summer semester started yeaterday, it's 10 weeks long which means they pack 14 weeks of a regular semester's worth of work into 10 weeks. Yikes! Each class is one day a week, but the classes are 4 hours long
I tend to get pretty drowsy after 2 and 3 hours. Oh well, I have to adapt to be successful and make it thru. Which I can.
Oh yeah, my weight loss efforts are slowly paying off, I am not as focused as I could be though....

At six foot six, with his tanned face and steely blue eyes, Glenn may be close to seventy years old, but he is every inch the American cowboy. With Glenn and his daughter Kelly, we saddled up mules and rode up steep canyons to nearly 6 thousand feet.

We could see more than 50 miles in every direction, as Glenn pointed out the craggy outcropping where he took the very first picture of a live jaguar in the United States in 1996.

Despite the fact jaguars might prey on his cattle, Glenn’s passionate in his belief that this elusive cat should be allowed to roam back and...
