Refeed - awesome!

Had a refeed today. It was much needed. My last one was last Friday. I was totally prepared for this one. Yesterday I made a few concoctions.
1. Granola - Raw oats, wheat bran and flax mixed with olive oil, water, vanilla, splenda, and cinnamon. I added a bit too much olive oil which added up to 4 grams fat per 1/2 cup serving so I only had one serving for breakfast. It sure was filling!!! I only ate 1/2 cup, 1 egg, and 1/2 cup egg whites and I was sooooooooo full - not even a sugar craving. I had to force my fruit before my workout 3 hours later. Anyone have a low fat granola...

Let's Get Physical

Posted 06-01-2008 at 07:30 PM by Lotpodz
Yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in AGES.

I could only manage 5 mins on the eliptical and then did 25 on the bike.

Today I pushed myself (and MAN was it hard) to do 10 mins on the eliptical (thought I was going to pass out, seriously) and then did 40 mins (!!!) on the bike. I feel so proud for almost doubling my exercise today..yay me!

Weigh in on Tues, fingers crossed!

Day 7

Posted 06-01-2008 at 09:32 AM by grandmoo
Well, yesterday I was somewhat grumpy. I have quit the Chantix altogether and will tough it out sans meds. I take Wellbutrin anyhow, so that should help a little. Besides, it has been long enough that the physical nicotine cravings should be out of my system. Now it's just the psychological crap to deal with.

I slept well last night, the dog let me sleep 'til 7 this morning and I felt refreshed for the first time since I started the Chantix. I'm starting to feel like I might get this under control. I'll never say I've got it beat, 'cause it's like any other stinking addiction,...

Easy As Sunday Morning

Posted 06-01-2008 at 07:26 AM by LynneDear
Yesterday, I rode my bike nearly to the beach. I was a mile shy, i would have kept going, but i was afraid i wouldn't be able to get back..

i bike better than i walk...
(hip problem)

Today i'm thinking it's another bike day, and i could probably ride all the way to the beach. 5 miles one way.
not hard at all, lots of neighborhoods and nice streets with bike lanes.

it's a very warm sunday morning here..
just the way i like it.
