baby steps

doing a bit better, lost 7 of the lbs i had gained. stuck to no carb with one small 'episode' today. bought a new batch of groceries with tuna, eggs, and bulion cubes and that blew the food budget for a while, so hopefully i'll be seeing that lovely ketosis soon *fingers crossed*

I've decided to start keeping a blog again about my progress. I restarted Atkins on June 23. I have not stayed true to Atkins recently, but vacations are hard to stay on task. Since starting I have cut 16 lbs. I have currently stalled, but that is the way life goes sometimes.

I am a member of boot camp charlie (Low Carb Challenges). Great support from these people. I am just looking to keep myself accountable now and get back on the loss side.

In a few days, I should receive the Power90 bootcamp system. I plan to start this program in combination with a traditional...

Arrival o Scales

Finally the scales arrived eight days after starting Induction. It is a bit disappointing not to know how much weight I had lost in that time. However I do feel good and have stuck to the program. Drinkings lots of water and only eat the three meals a day. No snacking,no diet cokes and have not found it a struggle. I haven't started any exercise yet but intend to do so soon. I have joined the Cheat Free Challenge and Century Sistahs- losing it together. Once I get more familiar to doing this and learning more about usinf this program I might start posting.

Dealing with TOM

Mum and I are posting our blogs at the same time today. I am helping her navigate her way around this site. It is fun to have someone that I can can really talk to (with voice not typing) about what I am learning and my weight loss journey. Even though she in in NZ and I am in China, we Skype and read the same post together and discuss them.

With my TOM here I have put on 3lbs and now this morning I am .8lbs up still, so most of it has come off. I really hope though that I am not fooling myself. It would be awful to finish TOM and still be heavier, as then will have wasted 2 weeks....

It's working

I noted to a friend yesterday that into my third week of exercise (water aerobics) it finally feels like my muscle tone is returning. I was feeling really good last night and couldn't resist pulling out the tape measure, even though Monday is measuring day. I was right... half an inch off of virtually every measure (except wrist).
