My weight loss journey has seen many ups and downs and for the first time in a very long time, I am feeling clearer thinking about food choices since starting to do intermittent fasting 7/31/08. The weight loss has been fast so far, and has not been difficult. My challenge now is to not overthink the whole thing and not get hung up on the numbers on the scale. I am definitely going thru a learning curve with what works and what I want to routinely incorporate in my lifestyle.

Well, I had joined the challenge and about a week after I joined up, I had a crash and burn session that lasted a looooong time. So, I don't feel worthy to continue on at this point in the challenge.

HOWEVER, I restarted my induction yesterday and am just going to put one foot in front of other through the next 12 days and get back to where I was with my weight loss.

Exercise: walked the dog 2/3 mile early this morning.
Swimming: about 30 minutes
walked the dog another 2/3 mile about 9-ish, and gave my husband a "break" from HIS usual chore!

7 p.m.

8oz. hamburger steak
1 c. green beans
Diet Root Beer.

About 12 (midnight)

Grilled Chicken breast
Lettuce/tomato/1 slice onion
Mayo/mustard...

The reason I chose my current avatar is because it does have significance to my weight-loss journey. Here's the story:

When I first saw this picture, I automaticaly assumed that the flash of skin below my face was my family's famous giant double chin (even the slim ones have a little double chin)... I was FLOORED when I realized... that was my neck! Yes, the double chin is still there, but not so huge that it hides my neck... lol
It made me realize how far I have come, because yes... sadly... at one point, from an angle like that... my neck was hidden by my double...
