Adventures in Running

Posted 08-28-2008 at 05:35 PM by grandmoo
I've been doing Couch to 5K and have recently discovered that I have no energy to do this . I'm going to try adding back in carbs - aiming for ~50 net. If that doesn't help a whole lot, I'll cut them back out - it feels positively decadent trying to get them up to that, but man oh man, the raw carrots are soooo worth it. I've always been a lover of raw carrots, too bad they didn't help my eyes {sigh}.

Anyhoo, that's it for today. I'll try and keep this updated as to how the higher carb levels do for my energy...

Thanks for reading!

Ug, again my ketones were barely a trace.
I am going to try to cut out the shake, even though it is 5 total carbs (2 net) maybe one of the sweeteners is booting me out.

B -
1 coconut oil chocolate
Turkey
2 oz cheese
Mayo

L -
1 beef kabob (meat only), small salad, 2tbsp onion, ranch

D -
Lamb
1/2 cup cooked string beans w/mayo

Plodding on.

Posted 08-28-2008 at 01:54 PM by Kiwi Mum
Only one pound lost this week. Not too upset as the scales are moving down. I am still cheat free after 4 weeks and have increased my treadmill walking to 1.5 miles a day.I feel a lot fitter and my clothes are starting to feel less snug, so something must be happening. I have decided not to set targets for myself as they are too hard to meet.Once I get below 310 I will re measure myself. Still sticking to induction as that way of eating suits me fine.

The Scale

Posted 08-28-2008 at 12:03 PM by ellgee
Day 4 of induction going on in da house! I am trying to be a once a week weigher and it is KILLING me!

I am used to hopping on the scale every day and want to break the habit. So I give the scale an imaginary high five and walk on by.

Monday will be here soon enough!

9 a.m.
1 PT water

2 p.m.
2 c. green beans, butter/garlic to taste
1 baked chicken breast
Diet Pepsi
water

I am sooo frustrated!!! I have been keeping with the plan, exercising, and drinking oceans of water, and I am STILL the same weight that I was days ago...I know, its too soon to tell...my husband already gave me that reality check, but I can still be mad about it!!!

I just read about people, that are my weight, going on a Atkins and losing 20 pounds in their first month---I just wish I didn't have this...
