the rest of the 1/2 chicken I bought yesterday, with 1 tsp low carb BBQ sauce (1.5)

How I got to this point 9/11/08

I've never really been truly overweight, but I have been known to "plump up." Most of my adult life my body liked to hang out at 133 lbs. Then at one point I got down to 112 and that felt REALLY good! But my body did not like it so I settled at about 122.

Every once in awhile, my weight starts creeping up towards 130 and I have to catch it before it gets out of hand. This time I got up to 135 before I really got serious about bringing it back down... and even after I start started Atkins, I bloated up to 137 before it starting to lose.

At 42, it seems...

Horn tooting

I guess I will toot my own horn as my Mom used to say.

I am so proud of myself for going down to my cottage in Plymouth and joining a gym that I attended 5-6 times a week and finding and attending my WW meeting down there too which just happened to be on the same day as my meeting at home. I am also proud that I kept a paper food tracker right beside me all summer and wrote down everything I ate.

In years past summer would be my downfall. We usually eat out a lot more in the summer and I would "cheat" and then try to undo the damage in the following...

I started (restarted) Atkins on August 12 and later found this support site. I'm still learning about all the things on this site. I decided to try the blog area. Since this is my first post, I will keep it short and sweet.

My goal is to take better care of my body by putting proper nutrition into it and by giving it proper exercise.

I am losing 15 to 20 pounds.
Update 11/25/08: Lost 20 pounds!

I am walking 30 minutes every day.
Update 11/25/08: Walking 2.5 mi 5 days

I am doing the YOU On A Diet 20-minute workout every...
