Gah! Saying this here, cos if I say it in the Lobby I'll start a fight! People if you say "I'm doing Atkins and I'm not losing" and then go on to describe some bats**t crazy stuff that resembles Atkins like I resemble Kate bloody Moss, then newsflash! You're not doing Atkins. Describe it as "my bats**t crazy plan" if you want to, but stop calling it Atkins.

Atkins is customisable of course, but within parameters. There comes a point when you get outside of those and you are no longer doing Atkins. If that's working for you, then great! Keep it up! Publish a...

Down Two Pounds Today...

Well I am down two pounds today. Originally, I weighed myself with my gown on and I was the same so I took it off and it read 218... Now I'm wondering if I have in fact lost weight or if I've been 218 all along... Don't know but I'll take it.

Still trying to eat to my BMR, 1500-1800 calories. I would rather stay at the 1500 range though, although it did say I could eat at 1800 and lose two pounds per week...hmm! Why don't I believe that one!
Perhaps because weight loss has always meant deprivation for me, so unless I am eating around 1200 calories I don't think it is going...

well shyt.

315.4

Minigoal was to be at or lower than 299 by today.

I was at 311 a few days ago. One day of not biking to work and one cheat night later, and here we are. Fvck.

As always, it's my own fault, and I know that and why. So, we're going to disney this weekend, and I've lost 39 lbs. That will definitely help from what I was before. I'm also in better shape from biking over 400 miles so I think I'll do ok, but I'm dissapointed in myself.

I also know weights can vary day to day since I didn't bike yesterday I'm fully...

Tying up loose ends and doing psyche work

Posted 09-11-2008 at 09:52 PM by RW City Sue
Along with getting my eating better under control and thinking clearer, I have some new found energy and freed up focus and I find I have been busy a lot lately doing what I call tying up loose ends--getting all those niggling little things done that add up little by little to less overall stress in my life.

I also have been faced with that part of the weight loss process that seems to be inevitable for me--redefining my relationship with food. I am sort of blown away by how much of a fight I suddenly started seeing waged by a part of me that seems bent on returning to self destruction...

Marinades....

Ginger Chicken Marinade

¼ c. olive oil
¼ c. soy sauce
1 T. lemon juice
2 cloves of garlic, minced (or 2 t. powder)
1 small piece of ginger, minced (about 1”)
2 t. curry
1 t. cumin
1 t. oregano
1 t. black pepper

Mix together and pour over chicken in a covered bowl or ziplock bag and place in the fridge until ready to grill, turning as needed. Marinate at least 3 hours or overnight.

This is also good with pork.

Also, this one is, I believe, a Kraft recipe, and it's awesome! Not a marinade, but...
