Hi again. Does anyone know a site for the gastroparesis diet. There is a book at last coming out in late 2009. I find it hard to believe with so many diabetics having this disease that there are no real books on this nasty disease. I was a 2x before I became ill. It was almost impossible to lose weight then now I have no problem because I just am not eating the healthy diet I was on all these years. And instead of gaining I lose. My girlfriend said at a spagetti dinner to stop eating the piece of cake I was eating and eat the healthier food but I could not get the gag reflex past eating spagetti....

Just a quick note here. My sugars have been around 116 since having all those surgeries. It used to be almost 300 . But since last month I have noticed numbness in hands and feet. My nails are a mess and so I started juicing my veggie and fruits. Also can someone tell me if I puree beans like refried beans will it still cause me problems. I love chili and have a hard time thinking I may not be able to eat it. Has snyone tried that. I will also try shackley the vitamin site thru my girlfriend because...

Hi I am new to this site. I used it years ago when I was almost into a 2x size. Due to gastroparesis I am now a size 12. I had gall bladder surgery back in 1999 and the doctor cut my bile duct to almost nothing. Then I took Actos (which has a close cousins that was taken off the market for liver cancer). I was taking it even though my blood sugar was normal but the doctor wanted me on it for preventive reasons. It caused my bilirubin to sky rocket and pain like a gall bladder attack. I got off it after 2 weeks but it already killed my bile duct. I was put on Hyoscyamine which paralysis the stomach....
