i've lost 122 pounds now

since august of 2007. i'm horrible about updating things online.

i eat NO MEAT and very LITTLE dairy. no fish or eggs, either. soy, seitan, and tempeh are my protein bases. along with legumes and peanut butter.

my big problem? not having a healthy relationship with food. being as heavy as i was i was dx'd as having binge eating disorder. then i was dx'd as being a compulsive overeater.

if they dx'd me now? i'd be a binger/purger with anorexic tendencies. not all the time, of course, and it's been far far less in this past year and a half. ...

oh i have to quit getting on the scale all the time. dammit. i KNOW this is insane but i cannot seem to get myself to stop stepping on allll of the time. i mean all day long or at night or whatever. i need to cut it down to once a day in the morning and then maybe once a week. starting now i feel comfortable saying that i'm not going to get on the scale again tonight. i will weigh in the morning but no more tonight.

did really good today. scale this morning said 107 lbs gone. i'm expecting the scale to go up a lb or 2 during the week. seems like that it quite a patter with me and won't change but at least it's consistent.

i actually got a five minute walk in today. no big to some people but to me it's huge. my only excercise i have been getting is taking stairs at work. better than nothing. but i need to do a little more.

i'm thinking of checking out the work out shows on tv and seeing if there is one to record and do after i get home from work. baby steps baby steps...

The Vegan/Vegetarian Journey

so i will start blogging. i don't get online very much, maybe once or twice a week, so i'm hoping that i will keep on doing this. i'm notorious for starting something and not finishing it.

as of this morning i have lost 103 pounds since august of 2007. i don't eat meat, eggs or fish and rarely have cheese. i fast on the weekends drinking water, juices and an occasional glass of soy milk. i find that this helps me focus and clear my mind.

i have a long history with disordered eating, bulemia, anxorexic tendencies and compulsive overeating. i am concentrating...
