The Start of a New Beginning!

In 2002 I started Atkins with a starting weight of 141 at 5'4 and within 2 months reached a weight of 118. I was very pleased with the outcome. Working out 7 days a week for at least an hour a day and sticking to the diet strictly. However I was so pleased with the results I started to have a different mentality of "well just one piece of pizza won't hurt since I've hit my goal and feel great". Soon that one piece of pizza became two and then ice cream for dessert and before I knew it I was back in my old eating habits and exercising was non existent again. I started to put the pounds on fairly quickly shortly afterwards. By the end of 2005 I was weighing in at roughly 170lbs. I would start atkins for a week or so for the next few years but the cravings would be far too intense and I would give in every time. My heighest weight was at 212 around January 2008. A mixture of stress and colds brought me down to 207 come April 2008. However, I managed to start climbing in weight again within the last month. Now at 210. I feel very uncomfortable in my body. Physically it is much harder for me to do things I was able to in the past. For example walking up and down stairs, bending over to tie my shoes, talk for long periods of time, etc. I have no confidence due to my appearence and always feel like someone is talking about my weight when I walk by them. Looking through pictures of friends who have over the years become much thinner than myself (making them look much younger than I am) and the mixture of all the other issues I have become motivated to give Atkins a shot again. I started on May 19, 2008 weighing in at 208.....on my road to 120!
