Is today over yet????

Posted 05-23-2008 at 04:55 AM by oraki
I'm ready for this work day to be over and done with and it hasn't even started yet!

It's Friday Friday Friday FRIDAY!!!! Plus we have a 3 day weekend!! Okay I just gotta make it through today!!! Hopefully the day goes by SUPER fast.

I checked the scale this morning and I'm up some. I can't blame anyone but myself. Me and my emotional eating. No matter what the scale says in the morning I'm still going to my meeting. I have to remember there's a fine line between indulging a little and using some of my wpas versus using ALL my wpas plus some. A fine line. Darned emotional eating! I'll learn one day.

Well it's time to get dressed and get out of here this morning.

I'm going to think positive thoughts all day. Maybe that will help the day zoom by.

I just had to post this here today!!!!

I see alot of people stress out when they suddenly GAIN 3-5 pounds what seems like overnight .. even after no major changes in eating.

First off ... a pound equals 3,500 calories. If the scale tells you that you've put on those pounds, before you panic ... think about what you've been eating ... did you actually EAT 3,500 calories x the pounds the scale tells you ? I hardly think so.

Weight fluctuations are a fact of life. Your weight can vary by 3 or more pounds at different times of the SAME DAY ... depending on a host of factors, among which are:

Excess sodium
Hormonal changes
Stress level
Bowel issues
Water consumption
Water retention
.... this is by no means an exhaustive list, but hopefully you get my point here ...

FACT IS: A POUND IS 3,500 CALORIES .. so if you know you haven't consumed that many (and it would be difficult to do that on a regular basis unless you are overeating in the first place), then PLEASE don't fret. Eat clean, exercise, drink your water and don't let a few pounds of NORMAL fluctuation ruin your mindset. Nobody's weight stays the same from one day to
