Thursday's Journey

Today has been a good day.. started out with the scale showing me I have lost another pound.... so
I know that some say you should not be a slave to the scale... and I understand that because it can be a downer when you climb on and see a weight gain or time after time stay the same... but I so enjoy getting on and jumping for Joy when I see that all my efforts have paid off and I have lost some weight. So I admit I do weigh myself every weekday morning... on weekends however I don't peak
because my mind can try to play tricks on me. For example, my husband will say "let's go out to dinner" and of course with that thought comes what will I eat... you know the way that goes.... but then if I have lost a pound that day, my mind will play with me and try to get me to splurge for just one meal. I don't remember which low carb plan it is... but one of them allows you to eat one meal off plan a day as long as you only eat a "normal" meal and nothing off plan after one hour.... (I think it is the Carbohydrate adicts diet?) Anyway... back to the scale.... I find I do better if I have to wait until Monday to find out my weight again.... some how it keeps me from going off plan as easily. The battle of the mind.... we have to find what works for each of us individually.
I slept good last night.... so giving my muscles a rest yesterday was good.... today I have done the following exercise.
Bike Workout.... 20 min.
Weight workout.. upper body... 2 sets of each exercise
stretching on ball
rebounding 10 min.
Menu
B.....2 cold chicken nuggets with two bites of froozen Low Carb bar and coffee/cream/splenda
L..... 3 more chicken nuggets, with Blue cheese dressing for dipping... 1/2 a low carb food bar
snack: the other 1/2 of the low carb food bar
D..... would you believe some more chicken nuggets. (I planned on steak... but hubby called and requested the chicken nuggets... so guess I will make up a fresh batch... it's ok because they are so yummy!)
will also have a tossed salad with cucumber, radish, boiled egg... blue cheese crumbles, a sprinkling of sunflower seeds and blue cheese dressing, a smidge of olive oil and a sprinkling of splenda... YUM!
so far have drank 3 quarts of water today.
