Day 3, Wednesday..... I didn't get a good night sleep last night... my body was achy from my exercise yesterday... Yesterday I did a longer bike workout at a higher tension.... and of course I am feeling it! So giving myself an easier day for my body to recuperate a bit more today... I didn't have weights schedualed for today anyways. So just doing the rebounder (mini trampoline) to some upbeat music to get into a groove.... and a lot of stretching.

Good news though.... I took my measurements today and since 1/11/08 I have lost 10 1/4". So some improvement to celebrate about... and hopefully the momentum will keep going.

Menu today
B.... leftover chicken nuggets/ Blue cheese dressing and D. coffee/cream/splenda and a bite of an Atkins carmel nut chew bar.
L...... 1 low carb meatball and 1/2 of a Atkins food bar
Snack..... 3 macadamia nuts
D...... baked salmon/lemmon and lc coleslaw
D. tea and two carmel nut chew bar bites.

(I find that eating a whole bar can slow my weight loss down... so I cut them up into bite size pieces.. and store them in the freezer... then to make myself not feel deprived.. I eat one or two along with coffee or tea... it tops off a meal and satisfies my sweet cravings if I have any. Hubby likes to do this too, although he doesn't limit it to just one or two bites! )

Today is Ash Wednesday... I am not catholic, but I do think it is good for our character to observe lent by giving something up... fasting it until Easter. However... since I am doing low carbs..... I have choosen to consider the fact that doing low carbs is giving up eating several foods that we have liked.... so to help keep me from giving in and eating off plan... I choose to continue on this Low Carb Journey between now and Easter without splurging by eating anything off the low carb plan. (Just a thought) Actually, dieting is a form of fasting.. like a Daniel Fast.... we choose to just eliminate something. Gosh, I have oliminated alot of foods that I enjoy...

Ok off to go bounce on the rebounder... today I am going to be bouncing to some Janet Jackson music. I like to mix it up. Hope anyone that reads this... has a wonderful low carb day.

Until next time, Norene
