Starting week 5!

Posted 08-04-2008 at 05:15 PM by moonmayden85
Well, today is the start of week 5 on my diet plan. I've gone from about 260 to 246 pounds. So that's about 14 pounds gone! But on the down side, I have been off the wagon for 3 days now. I got down to 244 but the three cheat days have had side effects. It's upsetting me that I let myself get off track after I've been doing so good. I want this time to be different than all of the other times I've tried and failed on this diet. So I'm going to use this as a chance to re-commit myself to the plan. I know this plan works and I've already seen results from it. I just have to re-focus...

Offical Weigh In #1

Posted 07-14-2008 at 06:19 AM by moonmayden85
Today is Monday and I've chosen Monday's as my weigh in day. I started last Monday but didn't weigh in. I had weighed around 250 for the past few months, but a couple of weeks ago I stepped on the scale and it was at 260. Yikes! I don't know if that's what I started at or not on Monday, but assuming that I did, I've lost a total of 10.7 pounds this week! Amazing! I'm down to 249.3 pounds. I'm sure my weight loss will slow down now but I'm still very pleased with the scale this week. I'm hoping for big numbers next week, too!

Yipee!

Posted 07-11-2008 at 12:01 PM by moonmayden85
I have actually stuck to my diet for about a week now and let me tell you, it feels great! I feel like I am well on my way to my goal now. I've already lost 5-ish pounds (probably of water weight) and feel less bloated and puffy. I can't wait until it's actually fat melting away from my body! So I am excited. I plan on officially weighing in on Mondays and posting it to keep me on track. So hopefully on Monday I will have lost even more!

Getting started is the hardest part for me.

Posted 06-24-2008 at 05:19 AM by moonmayden85
Ugh. I can not seem to get truly started on my new way of eating. I keep telling myself tomorrow I'll start. But when tomorrow rolls around there is always some other excuse to wait another day. I have a bunch of non low carb friendly foods in the house (including a tub of refrigerated cookie dough) that are just sitting in the kitchen staring at me, practically begging me to eat them. Then I had a birthday party to go to last weekend and there was food and cake and mixed drinks, etc. Needless to say I gave in to temptation. Then I've got people at work that are just dead set believers...

A kick in the butt!

Posted 06-22-2008 at 07:37 PM by moonmayden85
Well, if I didn't already have enough reasons to lose weight I certainly do now. I get to be a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding! I'm really excited to be part of his big day, but man am I fearing the dreaded bridesmaid dress. It's not that I think they will pick out ugly dresses, it's just that when you have 4 or 5 bridesmaids with all different body types, one of us is bound to be wearing a dress that doesn't flatter our body. And I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that it will be me! It's hard to flatter a size 24. Especially when most of the bulk is in the waist and chest...
