A kick in the butt!

Well, if I didn't already have enough reasons to lose weight I certainly do now. I get to be a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding! I'm really excited to be part of his big day, but man am I fearing the dreaded bridesmaid dress.
It's not that I think they will pick out ugly dresses, it's just that when you have 4 or 5 bridesmaids with all different body types, one of us is bound to be wearing a dress that doesn't flatter our body. And I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that it will be me! It's hard to flatter a size 24. Especially when most of the bulk is in the waist and chest area. And most bridesmaid dresses are sleeveless. Currently, my arms closely resemble the Pillsbury dough boy's. And I don't want the bride to be to have to worry about picking a dress that I will feel comfortable in. I just want her to be able to go in and pick out the dress that she loves without any concern that I won't feel good in it. So I'm making it my goal to have a bridesmaid dress ready bod by the time they walk down the aisle. I have about 1 year to get my body in shape before the gowns need to be ordered and fitted and all that jazz. I may not be completely to my goal by then but I should be very close. With a little extra work I just may be able to pull off a nice toned look. Of course a few visits to the tanning bed will be in order, too! Wish me luck!
