And so

knowing that I was in trouble, I also knew the simple solution...the solution to most of my physical ills throughout my life..and it was to lose weight..a lot of weight. I resolved to get to a healthy weight. I remembered that I weighed 150 pounds when I was married at the age of 21 and that I could while I was single maintain that weight pretty well..so that was my original goal weight. After research on the internet I found that the highest weight considered 'healthy' for my frame was 145 and so that became my final goal..one that I knew I would have to maintain for the rest of my life, in order for me to have a longer 'rest of my life'. So that meant a 55 year old woman weighing 315 pounds, who had struggled for twenty plus years at over 250 pounds needed to lose a whopping 170 pounds in total. How in the world could someone who had failed multiple times at weight loss do that? How indeed. Not possible without a committment. But I was in luck this time. I was angry enough to actually make that committment, one I knew was for the rest of my life..long after the two or more years it would take for me to lose the weight itself.
