Releasing The Thinner Me with HCG! ;-)
This is my second attempt at losing weight with HCG. During the first time I lost 10.6 pounds in one week while using the homeopathic HCG - then I gave up due to cheating and hunger. I decided to try the RX brand this time with hopes that it will control my hunger a little more. I feel very confident and I'm committing myself 100% to the protocol. I can do this :-)
My highest weight this year was 230 pounds right before giving birth to my son in July 2009.
My lowest weight last year was 165.5 on 6/28/2008, 1.5 months before I got married. Check out my youtube channel for proof!
Anyways, I have set a mini goal of 165 by my 35th birthday in March 2010.
Thanks in advance for your encouraging words and support.

Reality Check on Weight Fluctualtions

I just had to post this here today!!!!

I see alot of people stress out when they suddenly GAIN 3-5 pounds what seems like overnight .. even after no major changes in eating.
First off ... a pound equals 3,500 calories. If the scale tells you that you've put on those pounds, before you panic ... think about what you've been eating ... did you actually EAT 3,500 calories x the pounds the scale tells you ? I hardly think so.
Weight fluctuations are a fact of life. Your weight can vary by 3 or more pounds at different times of the SAME DAY ... depending on a host of factors, among which are:
Excess sodium
Hormonal changes
Stress level
Bowel issues
Water consumption
Water retention
.... this is by no means an exhaustive list, but hopefully you get my point here ...
FACT IS: A POUND IS 3,500 CALORIES .. so if you know you haven't consumed that many (and it would be difficult to do that on a regular basis unless you are overeating in the first place), then PLEASE don't fret. Eat clean, exercise, drink your water and don't let a few pounds of NORMAL fluctuation ruin your mindset. Nobody's weight stays the same from one day to the next ... if it does .. you're probably dead ...

I love this blog!!! I've been beating myself up all week wondering what my problem was! Even though I know all the things you've written, somehow it makes more sense when somebody else says them! I think my problem this week has been high sodium, water retention, and TOM. I'll probably be revisting this blog frequently as it helps put thing into perspective for me!! Thank you

Hey Karazona,
I'm glad you found Betty's post helpful. We all need to be reminded of the truth. |

I read this the other day too and it is so true. I only pay attention to the scale when it goes down because I know I am doing everything right so there is no way I can gain 3 lbs overnight.
