A comment to a PM motivated me to clarify this. Since it is such an obvious part of weight loss to me, I didn't even mention it.
My recent personal philosophy is that I should enjoy my exercise, so that I WANT to do it. I know there are merits to purposeful routines, but I am just not "into" that right now. I want to enjoy myself, and I am such an obsessive type, if I exercise purely for the function of it, I WILL go overboard, I WILL obsess, I WILL hurt myself
