I just suddenly decided to do a Triathlon. The decision to run a 5K was quite sudden too, but once the thought got in my head I knew I had to do it. So now I have to do a Triathalon.

Since I'm still a novice, I'll have to start small. I found one that is a 250 yard swim, 9 mile bike ride, then 3.1 mile run. I know I can do each of these things separately, but not sure how they will all come together!

I've talked my BF into doing our own "Duathlon." We're going to go to our 4 mile River Walk; ride our bikes back and forth 3 times for 12 miles leaving...

My third 5K was called the Skirt Chaser 5K. The ladies run wearing a sports skirt and they start 3 min before guys. Then the guys try to catch up.

We got checked in and I put on the skirt on they gave me and it had a built-in panty that rides up your bum. There were over 700 runners registered for this event, mostly women.

The last race I was 4 min behind my BF, so I knew I had to tighten that up to less than 3 min or he'd be able to catch me. When I got closer to the finish line, I kept thinking, "I bet he is right behind me. I bet he sees...

I found out from a coworker that a couple of people have asked her if I am ANOREXIC!!! I'm not even underweight! And since I had the flu this year, she thinks I am sickly! And OF COURSE this is because of my WOE!!!! And because I don't eat the garbage that is served at campus social functions so they think I am starving myself. They don't know that I likely ate my own food before the social function. I eat 5 to 6 times a day!

I feel better now than I ever have in my life and my annual physical and bloodwork were perfect. I said results speak louder than words and my blood pressure...

Race for Hope in Fayetteville, NC - I finished in 30 min 25 sec; BUT I had to stop for traffic in the middle of the race!!!

I was not impressed. Traffic was NOT blocked so we had to navigate through cars and intersections. It started with a huge low grade up hill followed by a steep down hill followed by another up hill. The down hill was almost as bad because you didn't want to get going to fast and stumble or be too hard on the knees so you had to try to hold back some. And the route was one that you run to a certain point and then circle back the same way, so we would be seeing...

Well I ended my last blog saying that I would come back with a success story, and here I am!

I was 115.2 lbs this morning, so I FINALLY got those few extra pounds back off.

I completed the Couch to 5K program AND I ran my first 5K Saturday. I placed 192 out of 466 participants at 30 min 26 sec with a pace of 9 min 48 sec per mile. I never ran before January 5 and was able to complete a 5K by March 7.

It was a LONG day. My BF is normally a very slow patient driver, but he was running people over trying to get to Lumberton for the race. He was so excitied...
