I feel so good I want to Belly Dance! 1/9/09
I knew I'd be feeling great by Friday, and here it is Friday! And I feel great!!!
I've lost 5.5 pounds since Monday on the Egg Fast and am now back in ketosis. I was shocked to see 112.8 lbs on the scale this morning! I had to do it three times to be sure. I think I'm going to reset my goal to 112, with a 115 cutoff. Funny thing is, as little as I have gotten I'm still so flabby.
But, I've put together a new exercise program for the new year and I have stuck to it faithfully all week with no excuses or cheats. And I actually enjoy it now!
4:30 am - rise and shine
4:45 am - walk dog (this is wake up/warm up time)
5:15 am - cardio/C25K
5:45 am - hand weights & abs
6:15 am - get ready for work!
1:00 pm - walk 2.5 mi (lunch hour walk)
Thursdays 7:00 pm - Belly Dance Class!
After all the years I have always wanted to learn to Belly Dance, I FINALLY started a class last night. It was fun! The ladies were great. There was a LOT of diversity; black, white, young, old, fat, and slim.
I accomplished nothing memorable in 2008. I did not like reflecting back on the year and having absolutely nothing come to mind. I took a sewing class and went white water rafting once, but that was it (and lost 20 lbs).
So this year I'm going to focus on ME and on stepping outside of my comfort zone. So now I have the Couch to 5K program AND Belly Dance; neither of which I thought I could or would ever do. I found a thread, "2009.. time to make it happen!" I like that.
This year I'm going to make it happen!!!

Way to take control! I've decided to go mountain biking with friends this summer - something I would have not even considered only a year ago.

Wow.. I was looking at my previous posts and just now saw your comment! Mountain biking sounds great! I have a bike, but I don't ride it much because I'm not comfortable with road riding. We have loaded up bikes a few times to go to trails, but not very often. Maybe this summer I will take more opportunities to do that too!!!!
