Here I go again

I feel motivated to keep a blog about my eating after reading a great motivational blog from a fellow LCF member.

It's been years since I have eaten low carb and am now at my heaviest. My best friend just lost over 40lbs with this WOE and I feel I just have to try again and stick to it this time. No excuses!

It's day 4 for me now, or it was..technically it's early on day 5. I weighed myself on day one and was at 239.

Although I bought a box of Atkins Endulge bars and ate one a day the first two days, I have decided to stay away from processed boxed things this time and try to keep in as natural as possible.

I can't remember my menu the last three days so I will post today's just for my own record. I am not weighing myself until my induction is over and I am not really counting carbs in a technical way because in the past I became too obsessive and when I would cheat, it was so unforgiving.

Anyhoo..if anyone has suggestions or critiques PLEASE comment.

5/24/08 Menu

Breakfast - eggs with green onion, asiago cheese and a little heavy cream
Snack - a handful of macadamians
Snack - string cheese
Lunch - tuna with mayo
Snack - Babybell cheddar mini
Dinner - Josie's Criss-Crossed Bacon Breasts with a handful of mushrooms fried in butter

Drinks - Iced coffee with sf creamer and sweet and low, 1 diet coke, 100oz of water

Hey! The only thing that I can think is less cheese and more greens (salads, broc, green beans). More of the fiber-like veggies. Those don't "digest" if you will....so they help fill you up, and move everything else along.

Other than that, the nuts are high in carbs, so try not having them for a few days and see what happens. If you notice a big loss, then maybe make them a "cheat snack" for every now and then. But if you don't notice a change, then maybe they aren't bothering you

Good luck!!!

By the way, I don't mean that you are eating too much cheese, just that if you are going to add carbs from greens, take out some cheese to make up for it.
