What a difference a day makes

Posted 03-06-2008 at 11:45 AM by lntmyh
Today I feel so much better than I did on 2/29.
I was down and depressed and so sluggish.
I started Atkins knowing that it works because I had lost 50 lbs on it and felt great.

This time around I knew it could happen. I know I have lost some weight what a euphoric aura is in me. I feel good I am sticking with it. Today is day 7 and I feel better about me. My stride has changed and I felt I should document this. Why? Because the 1 cool thing about blogs and message boards is they offer encouragement.
I have spent many hours looking at the faces of low carb friends and looking at the stories. By the way the 1st thing I did when I returned was look at them for inspiration. Trust me there is no better kick in the rear to get you going than seeing photos of people who were fat with you and have now whipped themselves into shape.

I have not had 1 cheat yet .. that is truly a miracle from God. I do have a bigger motivation than a slimmer waistline. I am 32 and I am yearning to be a mother. I can't do that at 283lbs... scratch that I won't do that at 283 lbs.

So far my ride has been smooth but temptation has come and so far God has granted me strength. I remember someone wrote something so profound to me when I lost weight the 1st time around. "I know what that cookie tastes like however I don't know what a fit me feels like."

I can't wait to see me when I take off my fat suit.
