It's 2:25 a.m. and I've been busy making cards all evening. My friend came over and we made some together and then she left around 10:30 and I carried on. I found an online Christmas music station and I've been signing along as I'm making my Christmas cards. The kids were busy watching a couple of movies that I rented for them. I also found time tonight to colour my hair. It's amazing how happy I feel just from having this little bit of time to myself!! I want to keep going, but morning will be here soon and the kids' will be up bright and early.

I'm closing in on 50 lbs! I'm very excited and can't believe that since I started on April 25th I have not had a gain...now I probably jinxed myself!

I went shopping at lunch yesterday with a friend and we were looking at jeans. I told her I'd try on a pair but would be very surprised if they fit since jeans and pants always fit differently then skirt and dresses. Made it through Halloween without having a single bite of anything. Even now, surrounded by 4+ bags of candy that the kids collected I am not even tempted.

I am so impressed with low carbing, because before this lifestyle I would have been stuffing my face like crazy and sneaking chocolate anywhere I could.

I had a really good weekend with my parents. DS had an excellent time at camp, and DD had a great time with Dad.

Back to work this morning and I'm feeling wiped out! I feel like I could sleep all day.

I'm weighing in today instead of tomorrow as I will be out of town all weekend. Was happy to see the scale move this week. I'm proud of myself for losing 44 lbs in 6 months. I'm now averaging around 1 lb a week, which is healthy. I haven't set any mini-goals (i.e. Christmas), but maybe it's time I did.

I took today off and will be helping DS get ready for his first Cub camp this weekend. I don't know who's more excited about it -- him or me.
