Day 9.........set a realistic Goal

Posted 06-04-2008 at 08:26 PM by laurihill
Setting a goal for yourself can be a great motivator, but you can become overwhelmed if you set a goal that seems too daunting, or will take too long to achive. Don't fall into that trap.....What is your goal?

That is the first chapter of Day 9. She goes on to say that you should set short term goals. She recommends 5 lbs increments, so short term goal it is. I will lose 5 lbs by June 20th (a wedding). Then for my reward I will do a little shopping in the cities, but only if I lose the 5 lbs.

Another good day. 6 hours in the gardens. I cleaned up my compost from last year, dug flowers, transplanted flowers, put in new flowers. Amazing for a girl who was never about flowers before. I was always a veggie girl. I seem to have boundless energy these days. I don't know if it is the diet, or the fact that my asthma medicine is working and I can breath again. Whatever it is, I love it!

Brkf: same
Dinner: leftover Shepard's pie
brandiberry salad
Snack: protein shake
a few pecans
Supper: (too tired to cook)
brandiberry salad
very sm. pc shepards pie

I set my goal, I exercised, I sat down and ate with intention, I planned my meals, I read my response cards.....Another good day.
