Day 8......select an exercise plan...7 lbs gone

First week over with, today is weigh day.....good news, I weighed 191.2. I started the week at 198, so I have lost 7 lbs the first week. That makes me happy, but still mad at myself for regaining the weight to begin with. I am feeling like this book is really helping me though, and maybe this time will be different. So today I it was rainy and there was nothing much going on, so a lazy day. Probably ok, since I am stiff from working in the garden. M menu for the day
Brkf: 2 bacon 2 eggs 1 white scrambled (starving this morning)
dinner: chili (no beans, just hamb. crushed tomato, cream cheese
Snack: lunch meat and cheese and a few pecans
Supper: Linda Sue's Shepard pie (my favorite)
I ate my food sitting down and without interruptions, totally enjoying every morsel. I read my response cards twice, I gave myself credit when I made good choices.
I still need to plan next weeks meals and make grocery list.
I guess I know the E word (exercise) would come up sooner or later. I am not a fan of exercise, but I know I feel better and do better when I make myself exercise. So here is my exercise plan. I will walk twice a day while Dave milks, that gives me at least 40 minutes of walking. On Tuesday and Thursdays I will do 30 minutes of lifting. That is my plan for the week starting tomorrow. I must be accountable. This is the note I have on my computer to read...
Once I accept that doing exercise is essential and start doing it consistently, dieting will be easier.

This sounds like a great plan!!!! I like setting mini goals for exercise as you'd think it would kill me to do it LOL. My exercise goals for this week are small, but good enough for me until I work up stamina. I will walk up 2 flights of the narrow hard stairs at work at least twice a day! Any other stairs I could run up in 2 flights, but these kill me for some reason! Long term goal is to walk up all 7 flights without having a heart attack somewhere along the lines! We could swap e mails for accountability if you wanted some time!
