Ok, trying this again. I do so good, then I talk myself out of Atkins and things just go to hell in a handbasket from there. I am ashamed to type that I weigh more then when I first started. I weighed in at 198 this morning. I could just cry when I write that. Well, this is it, I am going to do it this time. I am also working on changing my mindset about dieting with a book I got on the internet. It is from a women , Beck, that has helped lots of people with their weightloss issues. Everyday for the next 6 weeks she gives assingments to work on thinking like a thin person. Today was number 1. Write why you want to lose weight. Here is my list.
1. I want to be as healthy as I can be, and I know asthma gets better with weight loss.
2. I want to boost my self esteem. I feel self-concious at times because of my size.
3. I want to be roll free. I hate that spare tire around my middle. Tire be gone.
4. I want to look good in my clothes.
5. I want to feel comfortable in my clothes
6. I want to breath easier.
7. I want to be in control of my eating.
8. I want to have more energy.
9. I will be able to do all the things I want to do, like go to the beach, go on photo taking jaunts.

I will read my response cards twice a day.

Today to eat I had
2 eggs 1 white scrambled, 1 bacon
1 cup cole slaw
some cold lunch meat
30 almonds
1 cup sugar free jello
salad
chicken enchilada hotdish.

Healing the mind has to be the first step and the rest will fall into place. Believe me your weight could be alot worse so if you get on and stay on plan now you will have all those things you listed in no time.

These lists are great and powerful tools!!! I make lists like these about school work all the time! I do beat myself up over my weight, but not as much as school work! I put them on my walls so when I feel like throwing in the towel during my studies, I can look up and remind myself how able I am to do this! It goes to show that these lists can be applied to anything, and I firmly believe in them!!! We are all here for you so keep up the good work and remember how strong of a woman you actually are!
