New Scales

Posted 08-07-2008 at 07:35 AM by kiwikid
I bought new bathroom scales today. I debated it for a while. My current ones are reasonably accurate, but they only have a small dial with 1kg marked each mm. That is just too tiny and difficult to see from a standing position. The new scales are good quality digital German ones. They show both kg, lbs and stones, and they give me one decimal place as well, although I have decided to always round.

I tested them repeatedly and multiple weighings only differs by .3kg. A really old set I have, which I will now throw out, differs by 5kg so this is a big improvement!

I really wanted something more accurate as now it is my TOM and I want to understand more the weight fluctuations that happen with that. That way I will better understand when I gain because of TOM, food or I stall.

So far I am 3lbs up, so waiting now to see if I woosh and if so at what day in the cycle. From what I read on this site a 3lb gain is within normal expectation. People cited 2-6lbs as their monthly standard, so I will wait to see.
