Down Again

Posted 09-19-2008 at 04:29 PM by Kiwi Mum
Had another great loss of 2.4lbs this week. It's a great reward for trying so hard with little results for about four weeks a few weeks ago. Just need to stick with it. I am still doing Induction as that works for me. I am not that fond of cooking so basic stuff makes life easy. We eat mainly grilled meats and roast chicken and baked fish. Lots of eggs, bacon, very lc Frankfurters and bier sticks. lots of broccoli salad and low carb cooked vegies. I have developed a love of Telegraph Cucumbers.

On a High

Posted 09-12-2008 at 08:37 PM by Kiwi Mum
Finally after six weeks of doing everything right I have lost three lbs this week. Maybe my body has finally come to the conclusion that it doesn't need to store fat as I keep feeding it plenty. I could feel that I had lost because I was hungry a couple of times and that hadn't happened before. Didn't have any time to do the treadmill as I was busy collecting all mum's clothes from the Rest home she was living in. She has now gone to a private hospital but it is doubtfull that she will walk again. She has had a partial hip replacement but it probably won't stand the strain of walking. She has...

Slow Progress

Posted 09-05-2008 at 03:24 PM by Kiwi Mum
Have changed my weighing day to Saturdays as that is much more convenient. Still losing but only .4 of a pound. I have a really slow metabolism, something to do with my Thyroid. I am glad I haven't set myself any goal weights. I would love to get to 280 by Christmas but at this rate I will be lucky to make 280. The upside despite having a stressful week is I feel quite good. Have not managed the treadmill at all but walked the hospital corridors instead. Mum who is nearly 88 years had a fall in her rest home and broke her hip. After many assessments they finally operated and gave her a partial...

Plodding on.

Only one pound lost this week. Not too upset as the scales are moving down. I am still cheat free after 4 weeks and have increased my treadmill walking to 1.5 miles a day.I feel a lot fitter and my clothes are starting to feel less snug, so something must be happening. I have decided not to set targets for myself as they are too hard to meet.Once I get below 310 I will re measure myself. Still sticking to induction as that way of eating suits me fine.

Three weeks after start

Posted 08-21-2008 at 02:22 PM by Kiwi Mum
Disappointing week with only a loss of .4lb but have been cheat free and on induction. Have walked the treadmill twice doing .5 ml and once .6ml. It is a start. Will try to increase that this week. My blood sugar has stabilized and that has to be good. I am also feeling lighter and clothes slightly ever so slightly looser. Onto the next week hoping for a better result
