8 month anniversary !

I have been LC'ing for 8 months today and maintaining my 30lb weight loss for about three of them. I feel like I have settled into a pretty good pattern. Generally, I eat like I did when I was trying to lose weight. But occasionally, I will eat something carby like a cracker or a piece of bread or some potatoes. I have also had the odd treat...like a piece of cake or a cookie. It seems like eating as if I was still trying to lose most days allows me the freedom to indulge now and again.

I weigh myself every day. I keep myself within three pounds of goal and I am very happy with that strategy. Whenever I am tempted to overeat...I think about how happy I am to be wearing size 10 jeans and how much better I feel about myself. That is usually all it takes for me to deny the cravings.

My son is getting married in February and I will be seeing lots of people that I haven't seen in ten years. I want to look good for that so I think that will be additional motivation for the holidays.

Blogging isn't very high on my list of priorities right now but I still check the boards every couple of days. There are a lot of new avatars on the site. I want to encourage anyone who is just getting started with LC'ing that this way of eating really works. So...stick with it and you will definately see results.
