"Wheeeee!"

Posted 09-06-2009 at 03:35 PM by Keptewe
Still riding that scale back down! 142 this morning. That is within a pound of my maintenance goal. I know a pound really doesn't make much difference to how I look or feel physically. But, this weight thing is only partly about the physical. Most (for me) is about the psychological. Seeing that number makes me feel....happier, more in control, powerful, sexy, and less likely to overeat. Maybe that SHOULDN'T be so....but it IS.

Statistically, people who weight themselves every day are less likely to regain the weight that they have lost. Visiting with the folks over at the Maintain Lane seems to bear that out as true. I can see how, for some, and within the weight lose process, daily weighing might be counterproductive. When I was losing...I weighed once a week. But now that I am maintaining...it is a whole new ball game and I don't want to get comfortable with even one extra pound.

We all have different strategies to gain success with our weight and food issues. Part of the key to that success is finding out what works for you and sticking to it no matter what! So...no matter how often you weigh...good luck with the coming week. Blessings on you all.

And me? I'll see you on the other side of 141!
