How sweet it is....

Posted 08-12-2009 at 03:20 PM by Keptewe
to go shopping....try on jeans...and find out that you are down to a size 10 from size 16! Oh man...I can't tell you how good it felt to pull on those size 12's and realize that they were too BIG!! Even the size 10 jeans weren't too snug...they looked great! Wow! Last winter when I went shopping for jeans, it was so depressing...nothing looked good to me. Now...I feel like I could just about wear any style and still be happy with the look.

I hate to go on (well....not really ) but the reason I was trying the jeans on was because there was a bunch of them reduced 70%. Normally, if I found ANYTHING that wasn't hideous...I would snap them up. But, once I realized that I was able to wear a smaller size....I felt so empowered that I didn't buy anything. I felt like I can buy jeans whenever I want now and can wait until I find something I REALLY like.

All of this served to energize me and if I had ever considered going off this WOE (which I really haven't) the time spent in the dressing room today put that to rest! To anyone who is struggling today about whether or not this WOE is worth it...let me tell you...it is SO worth it! Hang in there and don't give up....you will be glad, I promise.

Thank you so much for this post! It is exactly what I need to hear since I am just starting and seem to be about where you were when you started (i.e. I am a size 16-18 and HATE shopping -- nothing looks good and the whole process is depressing!) I so look forward to the day that I am able to try something on again and think -- this looks good!
