Is it raining on your parade?

Posted 07-04-2009 at 12:41 PM by Keptewe
Or 4th of July picinic? It is raining here in NW Arkansas and I feel bad for everyone who is trying to celebrate outside. I'm not sure if I mentioned it here before or not, but I am a Canadian living in the US so, strictly speaking, this ain't my holiday! Still, I know how important it is for many Americans so I feel sorry for the rain. You guys take so few holidays as it is (compared to us vacation lovin' Canucks) that it must be a real bummer when the weather doesn't cooperate. Oh well....hopefully it will clear up in time for fireworks.

Time for a LC WOE update. Sometimes I get so carried away talking about everything else I forget to mention anything about my eating or poundage. On second thougths...maybe that is a GOOD thing. When I first started blogging on this site I think that I mentioned looking forward to the day when I wouldn't have to think about my eating every second of the day! It could be that I am actually getting close to goal on a number of different levels.

Anyway...here are the stats. I am still keeping my carbs under 50-60...my calories under 1400. I am not plotting my consumption on Fitday. It just takes too long and besides, I really think that I am pretty good at figuring out my levels as I go. This past week I lost 2 pounds and have kept it off for almost 7 days which means that it qualifies as "official" pounds GONE! I am now "officially" 147lbs which, as you know, is three pounds from "goal". I didn't TRY to lose any more weight....I just continued doing what I have been doing and what I intend to keep doing for the rest of my life. It just happens that after a month, I lost more weight. That makes me happy!

Specifically....I ate LC all week with a couple of exceptions...one planned...one not . The planned one was last night at Tim's Pizza. You KNOW what that is about...two pieces of pizza...delicious crust included....NO REGRETS! The unplanned (impulsive) one was approximately 5 forkfuls of Canada Day cake that was left in the fridge from Tuesday night. (I guess I have ONE patriotic bone in my body! ) I was SOOO craving something sweet last night. Maybe it was the pizza....maybe not? I didn't have any chocolate or SF jello to put out the fire so....I ate the cake. Naughty. Not planned=naughty. Okay...not a disaster, right gang? This morning, I am back in the saddle and heading back down the ole' LC trail. It is ALL good!

Happy Independence Day to all my American friends...and Happy (Belated) Canada Day to my fellow northerners!!!! Have a great weekend, everyone!
